TACOMA, Wash. - Aug. 11, 2016 - PRLog -- Hope (253) is a free, community-wide gathering calling families, friends and community leaders together in and around the 253 area code to unite and embrace the message of hope. More than 120 local churches, nonprofit organizations and businesses are partnering together along with 1,000 volunteers to put on this event. All involved believe that hope is the answer to social, racial and political issues that divide us in our country and communities. "It starts here and it starts with us," states Dean Curry, a Tacoma native who is scheduled to speak at the event.

This hope-filled event is for everyone. It is celebrating its second year, embracing a vision of peace and unity between a diverse community of generations, ethnicities, and religious backgrounds uniting together for an evening of Hope. Special guests include Tyler Lockett, Wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks, Jordan Feliz and Israel Houghton & New Breed.

This year's event is expected to top last year's record breaking attendance at the stadium. The doors open at 4:30 PM and early arrival is advised. All are welcome and encouraged to attend this inspirational evening.
