What a top UFC executive learned running Nike's Jordan Brand

When Garry Cook first set foot on Nike's campus, it was a $6 billion company. When he left 12 years later, it had tripled in size to more than $18 billion in annual sales. Cook had a front-row seat to the growth, working as a general manager and then as president of the Jordan Brand. Cook's new employer, the Ultimate Fighting Championship, will visit Portland Saturday. Cook spoke with the Business Journal by phone about his time at Nike.
