Very moving, a young widow, alone, tries to make sense of the past and the present. Getting to daybreak one tick at a time was a lesson from a corporate team building sales seminar 40 years ago, right out of college. Smith rubs you raw with emotion; she dares you to consider the unthinkable, like suffocating, for example. Letting go. Another survival lesson. Don't struggle.
