Bank stocks rise, nudging FTSE 100 higher

U.K. stocks are slightly higher Wednesday, with shares of Royal Bank of Scotland and Barclays advancing after reaching a settlement with the Swiss regulator over rigging of Libor and Euribor, among other rates.
