Freddie Mac to make multibillion-dollar dividend payment to U.S. Treasury

Mortgage-finance company Freddie Mac said it would send a $4.5 billion dividend payment to the U.S. Treasury, after posting a sharp profit increase in its latest quarter and having its capital buffer legally decrease on schedule.
