Marc A. Massie Joins McGurk Fraese Family Lawyers

McGurk Fraese Family Lawyers is pleased to announce that Marc A. Massie has joined the firm's Calgary, AB office. Marc had previously practiced family law with another boutique Calgary family law firm. His experience in complex and high net-worth divorce adds to McGurk Fraese's market-leading bench strength in the area.

A native of Montreal, Marc completed his undergraduate studies at Concordia University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2004 (with honours). He attended law school at the University of Ottawa receiving his LLB in 2008 and became a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2009.

Marc articled with a national firm in Ottawa where he focused primarily on corporate law and litigation. He subsequently recognized that he wanted to focus his career on family law. He was called to the Alberta Bar in 2014 and worked for over three years at a Calgary based family law firm before joining McGurk Fraese Family Lawyers.

Marc understands that family law matters can be emotionally and psychologically taxing for the people involved. He is passionate about helping his clients reach closure and works hard to assure that they aware of all of their options prior to making any decisions. When out of the office, Marc is an avid landscape, wildlife and astrophotographer who can be found out capturing the milky way or chasing sunrises.
