How much home can you afford to buy in DeSoto?

Buying a home in Dallas-Fort Worth and surrounding suburbs continues to be a challenge as prices increase. DeSoto, located 13 miles south of downtown Dallas, is no exception. While analyzations of the Dallas, Frisco and Plano markets showed a higher range of price points for homes in the north sector, DeSoto — part of the region known as the Best Southwest which also encompasses Cedar Hill, Duncanville and Lancaster — faces the same obstacles of rising prices and low supply.
