Bayer, Ginkgo Bioworks launch South Boston ag-tech firm with $100M

The German life sciences giant Bayer AG and Boston’s Ginkgo Bioworks have put $100 million toward a new company launched today aimed at developing more efficient and sustainable crop fertilizers.
