Alameda loses close contest to Toronto over Google's Sidewalk Lab's tech neighborhood project

Alameda had long been CEO Larry Page's first choice for the tech neighborhood, but he was persuaded by Sidewalk Labs CEO Dan Doctoroff to ultimately locate the project in Canada, according to a report in The Information.
