PAPEETE, French Polynesia & MONTREAL, Quebec - Nov. 3, 2017 - PRLog -- From Thursday 16h November to Sunday 19th November, the Maison de Culture of Papeete Tahiti hosts the 17 Annual Book Fair/ Association des éditeurs de Tahiti et des îles Salon du livre "Lire en Polynésie". This event features Estelle Castro-Koshy, the translator of Camilla Chance's best seller, Wisdom Man – Un Homme de Sagasse – as the French version of the book launched at the fair. Au vent des îles has published Un Homme de Sagasse and is one of the featured publishers at the Book Fair. This fair aims at regrouping everyone who distributes and promotes reading books in French Polynesia during conferences, meetings with local and non-local authors, various entertainments, book sales, exhibitions, and so on in the gardens and rooms of Te Fare Tauhiti Nui.
The theme of the conference is "their vision of the world" which places the "vɛʁ" that crosses and meets in Polynesian literature, in French and international literature, as fertile ground source of creation, culture and expression. A term with simple phonetics but with many meanings, homonyms, synonyms, antonyms, etc. and which refers to an endless panel of topics of openness and exchange.
Les sujets relatifs au thème « vɛʁ » se croisent et se répondent dans la littérature polynésienne, dans la littérature francophone et internationale, tel un terreau fécond source de création, de culture et d'expression. Un terme à la phonétique simple mais aux nombreux sens, homonymes, synonymes, antonymes, etc. Et qui fait référence à un panel sans fin de sujets d'ouverture et d'échange.
Estelle Castro-Koshy (http://fr.calameo.com/read/001508557082548d2a6fd) presents at a salon, about her experience with Un Homme de Sagasse, and shares her insights about Camilla Chance as well. Estelle Castro-Koshy's presentation is scheduled for Saturday 18 November/Samedi 18 Novembre at 14h 55. She will be signing dedicaces/dedications at the Au vent des îles stand on the other days of the Book Fair.
