By: PRLog
PHILADELPHIA - Nov. 7, 2017 - PRLog -- American Law Institute Continuing Legal Education (ALI CLE) has announced that Eminent Domain and Land Valuation Litigation  will be held on January 25 - 27, 2018 in Charleston, South Carolina. Deemed the annual event for practitioners in the field across the country, the conference explores a vast range of issues and offers notable networking opportunities arranged by a special hospitality committee.

Private practitioners, law professors, a former judge, a jury consultant, a social media expert, and in-house counsel make up Eminent Domain and Land Valuation Litigation's esteemed nationwide faculty of over 50 speakers. This conference offers dual tracks, as well as more introductory-level presentations, so that attendees can create customizable experiences through the unique curriculum. This year's program will also offer an optional viewing of the recently released film about the Kelo v. City of New London case, "Little Pink House."

Timely topics to be addressed at the conference include:

·       The overlap of condemnation and regulatory takings, focusing on the Murr
case decided by the Supreme Court last term

·       Takings and damaging by flood

·       Property rights in the age of global warming

·       Building and growing your eminent domain practice with social media, and
the ethical issues that social media raises

"We've put together two-and-a-half days of programming, social events, and networking opportunities to get to know your colleagues," said planning co-chair Robert Thomas, a Director at Damon Key Leong Kupchak Hastert, L.C. in Honolulu. "All in a city that is eminently walkable, and full of interesting history. Come and join us in Charleston in January!"
