Downtown Atlanta's $1 billion Gulch redevelopment to create "vibrant urban walkable district"

Los Angeles-based CIM Group plans to develop 9.35 million square feet of office and 1 million square feet of retail space in the "Gulch", near CNN Center and Philips Arena. CIM's plans also call for a 1,500-room hotel and 1,000 apartments. Site work on the project could start within about 12 months, with a full buildout about a decade away.
