Michael Cohen's lawyer was reportedly set to meet with New York state tax investigators despite US prosecutors' objections

Michael Cohen pleaded guilty in August to federal tax crimes and to violating campaign finance law with a $130,000 hush-money payment he made to porn star Stormy Daniels. He said the payment was at the direction of Donald Trump and intended to influence the outcome of the 2016 election that sent Trump to the White House.
