The Pocono Great Talent Event pays homage to Iconic Women in Music
STROUDSBURG, Pa. - Oct. 12, 2018 - PRLog -- The 3rd Annual Pocono Great Talent Event is back in full force on Sunday October 28th at the historic Sherman Theater with additional performances by  local, national and international performers honoring women in music.  "We thought it would be an honor to pay homage to women in general by celebrating women in music with this show," says Gil Coronado, CILA llc Management.  This is the 3rd year for the Pocono Great Talent Event, and I am proud to bring this event to the community, allowing them to have the opportunity to dream big and perform on a revered stage such at the Sherman Theater.  The Pocono Great Talent Event benefits the Fine Arts Discovery Series, aimed at supporting and keeping the arts in the Poconos and the Sherman Theater accessible to the community for events such as these.

"The talent level has gone up over the years with new acts in the field of dance, poetry, song, rap, and even an aerialist are just some of the talents this year.  Not only did the talent range in field widen, but the level of talent has risen," says Robin Smith, Performer and Judge.  This year Finalists are Audrey Rooth, Ariana Hernandez, Cataconda, John Rocco, Cozzy Coz, Michael Sparano, Eskimo Snow, Maggie Pershyn, Greg Pershyn, Roy Ramos, Alexis Pirro, Emy Love, Rachel Ketterer, TheXperience, Zena Evangelista, Sophia Villano, Jocely Berrios, Christian and Dianna Brown, Deanna Badik, Charley, and Chosen with more acts to be announced. These Finalists will perform on the Sherman Theater Stage, and compete to win the grand prize of $1000, the title PGTE Winner, an opening act for a Sherman Theater Show, and the first signed act for Shawnee Riverfest VIII.  The Judges will narrow down the 25 Finalist to the top 10, then the top 10 perform again and it is in then audience's hands to choose who the top 3 winners are.

In addition to the exciting competition taking place, there will be special guest performances by International Artist Natalia Segura, 2X American Idol Contestant and National Artist Kendall Phillips, Artist Robin Smith, and Fusia Dance Company.  These marquee performances will pay homage to selected Iconic Women in Music.  Judging the competition is Gil Coronado ( Producer of TV, Music, Podcast),  Natalia Segura (Artist), Kendall Phillips (Artist), Robin Smith (Artist), and Lorna OFarrell MacIntire (Opera Singer).  Returning as host is Rosemary Brown and Beautiful Day/ Un Dia Bonito TV Host Giselle Figueroa.  Richard Berkowitz, President & CEO of the Sherman Theater said, "This event exemplifies the Sherman Theater's commitment to our community.  We are able to honor the depth of talent in our area as well as bring performers from far and wide to additionally entertain our patrons.
