BALTIMORE - Oct. 25, 2018 - PRLog -- Young Gets It Done & 1199 SEIU Get Out The Vote Rally will occur on October 27, 2018, from 1pm-4pm on Morgan State University's campus, which is sponsored by Black Girls Vote, The Collective PAC, and Planned Parenthood.  The goal of the event is to encourage millennials to vote.

Confirmed guests include music stars Dave East, G Herbo, Shiggy, Bri Steves, Ari Lennox, LGP Qua, Marcus Black (VH1/Love & Hip Hop Hollywood), and DJ Flow. Revolt TV's Scottie Beam and BET's Gia Peppers will serve as hosts for the concert.

"Here in Maryland the future of the state is on the dais and young people will certainly determine what the future holds. This event is to organize, educate, and get young voters in Maryland excited during the Early Voting period and keep them excited through Election Day. Young people — will define the politics of this year, and probably 2020 as well," said Marvin Bing, event producer of Young Gets It Done.

Our sponsors can agree that the event is a much-needed change within the community.

"This event will create the buzz and energy to encourage millennials to vote. The youth vote in Baltimore has the potential to become the largest and most powerful group driving issues like marijuana legislation, reducing mass incarceration and debt-free college," said Lisa Brown, Executive Vice President of 1199 SEIU.

Tickets can be picked up on Morgan State University's campus at the university box office between the hours of 9:00 am and 7:30 pm until Friday. The kick-off concert is free and open to the public.

About Us:

Young Gets It Done

Maryland looks to energize young voters 18 - 28 to get out and vote for the midterm elections. We think bringing together some of today's cultural influencers that the youth demographic targeted adhere to. We think using Hip-hop's biggest stars can engage younger voters and members in a way that traditional campaigns and efforts potentially miss the mark unless we are only focused on apolitical youth which is a small fraction compared to the age-eligible youth that can vote in which this demographic has a mass of. Having used their platforms to mobilize young people on several social issues throughout the year, we think a concert/rally with artists could be a dynamic unmatched to turn out the youth to early vote and ultimately vote on election day.
