IRVINE, Calif. - Oct. 25, 2018 - PRLog -- Meggitt Sensing Systems, a division of Meggitt PLC, has added a new robust cable-to-case connection for the popular 7270A series accelerometer. Known as the 7270AM7, this new configuration features a low noise cable that provides minimal shock induced output and a cable-to-case connection that prevents cable damage or detachment during weapons and blast testing.
The underlying piezoresistive technology of the 7270AM7 ensures a broad usable bandwidth and minimal shock induced zero shifts in high g applications. It affords users the accurate and repeatable measurements required in explosive environments while maintaining a small footprint and identical mounting requirements as its parent 7270A.
Features
1) Low noise cable
2) High frequency response
3) 3 times full scale range shock survivability
4) Minimal zero shift <0.5mV
5) Same trusted MEMS sensing element as 7270A
Ease of installation is facilitated by including high strength mounting screws and washers with each shipment of the 7270AM7. Optional triaxial mounting blocks (7980) and a 3-channel, DC amplifier (Model 136) are offered to support multi-channel applications.
