A new board game has been released by Timeless Enterprises, called “Screw You Cribbage”, which is a simple, fast version of Cribbage with a twist. The game is played on a five-by-five grid, and is a great way of enjoying a variation on the original with a group of friends.

The original Cribbage game was invented in 1632 by Sir John Suckling, an English poet. To this day, it remains one of the most popular card games available, and is usually played between two players, or groups of three, four or more.
Distinctive features have always included the board, which is used for score-keeping, the crib, which is a separate hand counting for the dealer, and two different scoring stages.
The “Screw You” variation sees each player or team alternating placing a card on any open space on the game board from their delta hand. Meanwhile, they must try to build the best Cribbage scoring hands possible.
One player will score the five Cribbage “scoring hands” that form rows while the others score the five Cribbage “scoring hands” in columns.
Every card placed becomes part of their Cribbage scoring hand, but will also count in one of their opponents’ scoring hands. Players then strategically alternate between placing cards one at a time on the game board to maximize points in their hands, while trying to cause problems for their opponents.
To make the game even more interesting, card values are printed on select spots on the game board for instant scoring or pegging. For example, placing a Queen on the spot on the board with a Queen (pairing up) scores an instant two points.
To allow players to screw up their opponents’ game plan even further, a roll of the dice allows the dealer to improve or meddle with their opponents’ scoring hand before counting them.
