NEW ORLEANS - Nov. 28, 2018 - PRLog -- Hot off the heels of a report in Waterways Journal, John Boland, of Boland Industrial, the commercial marine leader in vibration analysis and laser alignment, is attending the International Work Boat Show at the Morial Convention Center, in New Orleans, LA, November 28-30. Known as the "Ship Whisperer," Boland is the go-to expert, making boats run better, cheaper and faster. "Blue or brown, we do it all. We were 'green' before it was a priority," says Boland.
According to the EPRI, a 50% reduction in vibration doubles the life of an engine.
Boland Industrial, based in Pascagoula, Mississippi, is a small but mighty firm. "Most clients would be happy with 80% vibration reduction. I routinely can reduce structural vibration from 92% to 98% and eliminate premature replacement costs for my clients. Marine engine replacement is a cost we can reduce," says Boland, "more importantly, the work we do lowers emissions and is environmentally sound."
Boland Industrial is one of a handful of vibration reduction firms who does the work by hand. "Anyone can buy and train to use a laser kit. I inspect, measure, and correct on site. Many times I can 'hear' and 'feel' the problem when I step on the boat. I was trained by the best. I'm usually called in after several failed repair attempts. I'm the hands on guy that comes in after two or three firms have failed. I am working hard to be the first call. I deliver."
One industry expert, Brian Chaisson, Sr., of NRE, has previously referred clients to Boland Industrial. "If we are operating correctly, we are cleaner on emissions, and have a longer engine life. John Boland can buy an extra year or more. It's smart. This is what 'green' is all about."
"My clients are very cost conscious. They realize an ounce of prevention will save thousands, if not millions of dollars in the future," says Boland. Previously, Boland Industrial's clients were looking only for mechanic soundness. "We look differently at, know your equipment. I can prevent wear and tear. I can make a boat run longer and cleaner."
