Duke Energy, insurers mull settlement of $600M coal-ash liability suit

Lead attorneys for Duke Energy and the insurers made clear it clear in court Wednesday that a settlement is by no means certain. But the two sides say it makes sense to hold the case for four months to see if they can reach some kind of agreement without going to trial.
