Mississauga, ON, Canada – Dr. Umar Dar and his wife Farah are proud to announce that they have been selected to appear in an upcoming episode of DRAGONS’ DEN, airing Thursday February 14th, at 8:00 PM (8:30 NT) on CBC Television. Offering the world’s first and only halal certified water permeable nail polish, online store Tuesday in Love is expanding its product line to include halal makeup and cosmetics for Muslim consumers in Canada and abroad.
The couple founded their company about six years ago. At the time, Dr. Dar was unemployed, and the pair struggled financially just to get by.
“We had once walked past a store in the mall and some bright bottles of nail polish caught my wife’s eye,” Dar recalls. “Although she had admired them she placed them back down simply because we couldn’t afford to spend any extra money. I remember the look of dismay on her face and the feeling of disappointment in my heart. Later that night I decided to look up “halal nail polish” online and after an hour or so of reading articles and studying the ingredients, I was convinced that there could be a better version.
“I didn’t hesitate to find some sample ingredients and begin creating my own formula. In the following weeks, every night I turned my tiny kitchen table into a laboratory, experimenting with different chemicals and compounds, hoping that I would create something that worked. Finally, it happened. The next morning I gave my wife a small bottle of pink nail polish with my unique formula. I remember the sparkle in her eyes. I remember the sweetness of her smile. I remember it was Tuesday.”

Since then, Tuesday in Love has grown phenomenally, and even has its own independent distributors around the world.
“We are grateful for all the support we’ve received in our hometown of Mississauga Ontario, and so proud to have been selected to appear on DRAGONS’ DEN,” says Dar.
