Larson Electronics Releases Explosion Proof Enclosure, CI/II & D1/2, 4" X 7" L Viewing Window

Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion proof enclosure for use in Class I and II, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations. This unit is ideal for indoor and outdoor settings where flammable gases, vapors or dusts may be present and offers ample protection against dust, dirt, water, and ice.

The EPL-AEB-12.12.8-4X7 explosion proof enclosure features steel bolts and a weatherproof gasket for a NEMA 3R, NEMA 4 protection ratings and is made of cast aluminum for NEMA 7 (Groups B, C and D) and NEMA 9 (Groups E, F and G) ratings. This enclosure is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups B, C, and D; Class I, Zones 1 and 2, Groups IIB+H2 and IIA; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F, and G; and Class III, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous settings.

Larson Electronics’ explosion proof enclosure features an internal flameproof cavity that measures 12” long by 12 inches wide by 8 inches high. This unit weighs roughly 83lbs and offers a maximum conduit size of 5” NPT. The viewing window of this unit measures 4” wide by 7” long and has the ability to be customized to suit specific needs. This enclosure is suitable for use in chemical manufacturing plants, paint spray booths, refineries, power plants, and in other industrial and commercial applications.
