Veterans United Home Loans Ranks in Top 25 of Fortune Magazine’s 100 Best Companies to Work For®

Veterans United Home Loans ranked in the top 25 of Fortune Magazine’s 100 Best Companies to Work For® in 2019. This is the fourth consecutive year the nation’s No. 1 VA lender has been included on the list. The annual list is compiled by the international publication along with global research and consulting firm Great Place to Work®.

Veterans United is a full-service lender that is the No. 1 VA lender in the country. The 2019 list is based on survey feedback representing more than 4.3 million employees, with respondents rating their workplace culture on 60-plus elements of the workplace. These include trust in managers, compensation, fairness, camaraderie and workplace traits linked to innovation. The ranking accounted for the experiences of all employees including women, people of color, LGBT individuals, older team members, and disabled employees.

Veterans United’s 2,400 employees focus on helping Veterans and their families secure homeownership. Veterans United’s success is tied directly to living out its employee-created values: Be Passionate and have fun, Deliver Results with integrity and Enhance Lives every day.

“Our employees and our culture are the backbone of our company,” said Nate Long, CEO for Veterans United. “As an organization, our success isn’t measured by profits or loan counts. Our success is measured by the impact we have on Veterans, servicemembers, our families, our communities and each other. By living out our values each and every day, we collectively define our company’s success.”

In 2018, Veterans United Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Veterans United, donated nearly $5 million to charitable organizations and causes nationwide. Veterans United Foundation is supported by Veterans United and its employees. Since its founding in 2011, more than $50 million has been donated to the Foundation.

This year marks the 22nd anniversary of the FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For list, and 2019 winners continue to show that a high-trust culture for all fuels better business results. Great Place to Work research shows that list winners keep outperforming the stock market, beating industry rivals when it comes to talent retention and demonstrating higher levels of productivity than peers.

Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “Employees at these organizations feel valued, respected and heard, and are inspired to be their best selves because of the commitment these winning companies have made to creating a great workplace for all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the company.”
