The objective of the practice is to provide families in the midst of divorce or other family law matters an alternative venue outside of the courtroom where they are able to make critical decisions about their family and their future in confidential, non-adversarial, and cost-effective manner.
“After practicing matrimonial law for 12 years, I know that an agreement reached outside of the courtroom that is narrowly tailored to the unique needs of the family who will uphold it will have staying power. My mediation practice will provide a cost effective, non-adversarial, confidential alternative to resolve family law matters,” said founder and mediator J. Alex Jacobson.
Jacobson will mediate all matrimonial and family law matters including property division, spousal support, child support, allocation of parental responsibilities, parenting schedules, relocation, discovery matters, temporary parenting and support matters, emergency parenting and support matters, pre- and post-marital agreements, paternity matters, and post-judgment modifications regarding parenting and support.
