Lincoln Nova Vital Recovery is First Substance Abuse Residential Treatment Center in Ruston

Lincoln Nova Vital Recovery, Ruston’s first residential treatment center for substance abuse, will celebrate its grand opening on Wednesday, March 13th with an open house from 4-6 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Founder and CEO Denny E. “Kit” Gamble, Jr. said this center fills a gap in the Ruston community. According to Gamble, “There are people who need treatment here who would rather not leave town, and people from other areas who would like to experience recovery in a beautiful rural setting. We chose the location of the former Alpine Nursing Home because of just this setting.”

Executive Director and Founder Chris Salter, whose background as a licensed addiction counselor includes multiple certifications, said that Lincoln Nova Vital Recovery is unique in many ways, including having 88 private rooms. “Most treatment centers don’t have private rooms, and we believe this is a significant advantage for Lincoln Recovery. It gives individuals a chance to complete treatment with a combination of privacy and group interaction.”

In addition to private rooms, Lincoln Nova Vital Recovery offers medical detox, a fully-equipped gym, yoga, art, classes in parenting and anger management, and trauma-focused services including EMDR and accelerated resolution therapy. In addition to individual, group and family counseling, the treatment center also offers gender-focused groups and individualized treatment plans. Access to community 12-step meetings and aftercare are also provided.

Dr. Randy Davis, founder and chief medical officer, said that Lincoln Nova Vital Recovery’s staff comprises licensed therapists for addictions and mental health, among many other specialties. Davis said, “Our center offers quality substance abuse and co-occurring disorders treatment in a beautiful setting. We’re proud to offer the city of Ruston this wonderful addition to the health and wellness community.”
