Keller Rohrback: Fiat Chrysler Recalls Nearly 900,000 Vehicles, Admitting They Fail Emissions Standards

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has admitted that nearly 900,000 gasoline cars and SUVs fail to meet U.S. emissions standards, and will be recalled, according to reports from the company and the Environmental Protection Agency. This announcement comes on the heels of Fiat Chrysler’s multimillion-dollar diesel emissions settlements announced this winter.

Consumer advocates at the law firm of Keller Rohrback are investigating these reports. Attorneys are monitoring how any changes in emissions systems will affect the vehicles’ driving characteristics (i.e., MPG and power figures) and resale value. The recall includes 2011-2016 Dodge Journeys, 2011-2014 Chrysler 200s and Dodge Avengers, 2011-2012 Dodge Calibers and 2011-2016 Jeep Compasses.

In its press release, the EPA states, “EPA will continue to investigate other FCA vehicles which are potentially non-compliant and may become the subject of future recalls.”
