Monterey, Apr 5, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - After a very rewarding period on the East Coast (Miami and New York City), it is time for Balsamic Vinegar of Modena to reconquer the West Coast. From April 11 to 14, Consorzio Tutela Aceto Balsamico di Modena (Consortium for the Protection of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena) will attend Pebble Beach Food & Wine, the premier epicurean lifestyle event in California. This exclusive four-day celebration has been featuring talent and acclaimed wineries and has built its fame by hosting many of the world's renowned chefs, including winners of Michelin stars, James Beard award, Best New Chef award, Rising Stars and Forbes 5 Star award.
The Consortium continues its program, in the United States, with the campaign "Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, the Original" that aims to develop consumer consciousness, recognizing the difference between protected products over counterfeit and deceptive ones, and identify the original by the PGI logo (Protected Geographic Indication). Launched in 2017 and ending in 2020, the campaign is co-financed by the European Union, with the goal to promote the product in terms of authenticity, safety and traceability.
Balsamic Vinegar of Modena will be present at the official inauguration of the 12th Pebble Beach Food & Wine for the Opening Night Reception, at the Inn in Spanish Bay, on the evening of Thursday 11 April (6:00-9:30 PM). An exclusive occasion to sample exquisite bites from twenty-three of the weekend's top chefs and to taste wines from a selection of over two hundred top domestic and international producers.
While on both Saturday and Sunday, April 13 and 14, the Consortium will be a protagonist at the Lexus Grand Tasting(12:00-3:00 PM). The Lexus Grand Tasting is the weekend's most spectacular appointment, with over 300 wines from top-notch producers from around the world to a "who's who" list of 30 top celebrity chefs, among which: Dominique Ansel (James Beard Award-winning Pastry Chef), Tanya Holland, Antonia Lofaso, Doug Psaltis (Michelin star), Tim Wood, as well as Tiffani Thiessen, beloved for her roles in Saved by the Bell and Beverly Hills 90210 and now author of the cookbook Pull Up a Chair. There will also be opportunities for book signings and photo moments with many of the weekend's biggest and brightest names.
The event is the first of the activities scheduled with the campaign "Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, the Original", for this year in the United States.
