Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak plans to donate his salary to public education—here's why

In February of 2018, then-gubernatorial candidate Steve Sisolak made a campaign promise that if elected governor, he'd donate his entire salary to public education. Now, Sisolak is making good on his promise. On Wednesday, the governor announced that he had given his first paycheck to the Nevada Department of Education's Education Gift Fund.
