Report: Tesla exec says automaker faces global shortage of EV battery minerals

Tesla’s global supply manager for battery metals reportedly told conference attendees that carmaker is worried about looming shortages of nickel, copper and other minerals that go into making the batteries that power its all-electric vehicles.
