SARSEF - ENDORSED SCHOOL (NASH ELEMENTARY)
At the 2019 SARSEF (Southern Arizona Regional Science and Engineering Foundation) Fair, Nash Elementary was named “The Top Elementary School”. The fair had over 80 elementary schools competing in it from around Southern Arizona. In addition to being awarded Top Elementary School, Nash Elementary is also an officially SARSEF Endorsed School.
All of the elementary’s winners were class projects that involved students and teachers in the process. While other competitors featured individual students being awarded, Nash Elementary focused on involving all students.
A representative from SARSEF stated they will be putting a feature on their website in the future about Nash Elementary’s accomplishments, as well as a list of all SARSEF Endorsed Schools. Currently, they only list individual schools and the winners from each one.
At a schoolwide assembly celebrating the awards of their projects, Nash Elementary earned just over $900 from SARSEF in award money for their achievements. These include their classroom projects, top school award, and their endorsement. In the last three years, the elementary has had 30 different class awards in addition to their top school and endorsement awards.
