Neighbors raised $50,000 on GoFundMe to save this local bookstore — now it's thriving

When Manhattan's Westsider Rare & Used Books announced it was shutting down after decades, neighbors and customers chipped in to raise more than $50,000, and store owner Dorian Thornley put the money to use to improve his business. "We're still here, we're doing well," he says now.
