Green spaces with lowtox and no toxic options

Geelong, Jun 5, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - Australia has the highest percentage of reports "going green" with new spaces, buildings, and redevelopments according to the reports.

The World Green Building Council reports a steep growth in that percentage is expected by 2021. Drivers for the increase include market and client demands for green. Improving occupant health and well-being is the top social reason for building green.

One of the leading trends in the design, re-finishing and renovation industry has been the demand for Low-Tox paints and renders.

Australian renderer and artisan master crafter Jules Mieszkowski has witnessed this first hand, servicing areas all over the country requesting Low- Tox alternatives. "We are placed in an ideal position to offer a 'clean' alternative for homes and business spaces, a beautiful finish with the added benefit of 'green space.' We have a healthier option for paints and finishes, a Low- tox and non-toxic alternative.

The owner of Geelong artisan render business Surf Edge Rendering, the need for designer low-tox finishes all over Australia.  It would be excellent if Australia's building community were a global leader in sustainability, says Jules.

"Leading businesses and eco-conscientious homeowners know that creating a more sustainable property or community will ultimately create a better outcome for everyone," says the sought after tradesman.

The World Green Building Trends Report by Dodge Data & Analytics also shows one of the measurements used in a green home is the inclusion of good indoor air quality; and a general consideration of the environment was given in design, construction, and operation. The use of Low-Tox, also known as Low VOC, helps to do this, with no release of toxins in the home.

Volatile Organic compounds, or VOCs, are carbon-containing substances that quickly become vapors or gases. They can be present in paints, coatings and cleaning products. Low VOC is those that contain less "Volatile Organic Compounds" (VOC) or VOC Solvents than traditional coatings.

"We now live in a time when we can exercise choice with new technology analyzing and redesign of microstructures within paint material has provided a golden opportunity for new alternative materials.  This is brilliant for us, as when master-crafters to choose their products wisely and know what they are doing- the result has layers of exciting finishes to offer our clients" says Mieszkowski.

The extensive report by Dodge data also shows new Commercial is, by far, the sector most commonly selected globally. This corresponds to the findings in 2015 and shows that commercial construction is still the biggest driver of green building.
