Until now, the firm has been responsible for the success of many major projects including, refurbishment of Bristol North Baths and design for 16 houses at Holwood Estate in Keston. The recent projects undertaken by Nicholas Morley Architects are as follows:
Nailsea Electrical, Bristol
The firm has delegated the responsibility to assess the feasibility and develop a design for a construction project encompassing 9 flats and a retail unit. The location of the construction project is nearby Gloucester Road in Bristol City.
Broadlands Farm, Bath
The sophisticated project involved the design of 9 houses that are constructed using timber clad and natural slate so that they meet the Passivhaus standard. In addition, the houses utilize timber window shutters to minimize the heat loss at night and enhance the overall thermal efficiency. Before commencing the design work, a comprehensive landscape study was conducted at the site, which comes within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding National Beauty, Green belt and Indicative Area of Bath's World Heritage Site.
Manor Close, Wellow
This project called for the design of a house in Manor Close, Wellow, which is also located in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding National Beauty. The project required the production of Landscape Visual Impact Assessment document to ensure that it does not detriment the quality of the existing landscape.
