Report: WhatsApp co-founder cobbles together 'monumental' $80M Atherton estate

Jan Koum, one of the multibillionaire founders of messaging app WhatsApp, has reportedly spent $57 million to assemble land for "a monumentally scaled Atherton compound," and another $20 million-plus on the properties' new structures.
