Larson Electronics Releases Fluorescent Rear Access Paint Spray Booth Lay-in Light Fixture, CID2

Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting sector, announced the release of a hazardous-location, fluorescent, rear-access lay-in light fixture for use in Class I, Division 2 hazardous areas. This fixture is ideal for use in paint spray booths and locations where flammable chemical or petrochemical vapors may be present. This unit is not meant for surface mount applications. 

The HAL-RA-48-6L-LED explosion-proof, fluorescent lay-in light fixture is four feet in length with six lamps and is rated for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C and D; and Class II, Division 2, Groups F and G hazardous locations. This unit is T3C temperature rated and comes equipped with F54-T5/850/HO bulbs. This rear access fixture is ideal for paint spray booths and features a hinged door on the back, allowing operators to easily service the lamps from outside the paint spray booth (no access is done from within the booth).

Larson Electronics’ hazardous location fluorescent light fixture features a housing that is 3 1/2-inches thick and is designed for recessed mounting. This fixture is made of 20-gauge steel and coated with a baked-on white enamel finish. This multi-voltage capable fixture is approved for use in paint spray booths and features a glass frame that extends 3/8" into the booth. Suitable applications include paint spray booths and enclosed spaces where flammable chemical and petrochemical vapors may be present.
