KC charity will invest $5M to fund research into a cure for PKD

A Kansas City-based charity is ramping up its investments into research for treatments and a potential cure for polycystic kidney disease. The PKD Foundation plans to invest nearly $5 million "due to rapidly expanding interest from the PKD research community."
