REVIEW: Cincinnati Opera’s ‘Ariadne auf Naxos’ a zany evening at the theater

Richard Strauss’ zany “Ariadne auf Naxos” is an “opera-within-an-opera.” It’s also a mashup of serious and buffo, highbrow and lowbrow and, in Cincinnati Opera’s new production, Greek mythology and Hollywood glam.
