The Crypto Gambling Foundation Appoints Chris Butler as the Managing Director

​​Chris Butler, a well-known blockchain business professional, has been appointed as the managing director of the Crypto Gambling Foundation. The foundation, also known as the CGF, was founded in 2017 by Edward Miroslav. Miroslav explained that the foundation was created out of necessity at a time when a lack of accountability and transparency was evident in the online gaming industry. 

“There was, and still is, a need for operators to achieve a measurable and verifiable standard of fairness.​ The Crypto Gambling Foundation promotes solutions to these issues plaguing the online gaming industry. Technology, as well as provably fair algorithms, have revolutionized the way results are generated, creating a trustless and transparent gaming environment for players,” Miroslav said.

Chris Butler, newly appointed managing director, believes the new role is a sign of confidence and trust from the foundation to its stakeholders and to the industry as a whole.

“To effectively provide a truly unbiased representation of players in the industry, the CGF needed to evolve from its root foundations into an entity that isn't managed by operators, but rather someone like myself, who can ensure the best interests of the industry,” Butler said.

Butler further emphasized the importance of what they call "provably fair standards."

“When used properly, provably fair algorithms remove the need for third-party auditors. Every individual now has the ability to verify that every action that occurred was not manipulated in any way. The CGF is determined to make sure that provably fair algorithms become the standard across the entire online gaming industry. 

Chris Butler believes that his deeply rooted experience in the blockchain and gambling industries will excel the CGF's reach, development and impact on the industry.
