Shoebox filled with $23,000 in cash was accidentally recycled—here's how the owner got it back

On Friday, an Oregon man's $23,000 was recovered at a recycling plant more than 200 miles from his home. He had stored the money inside a shoebox in his home where one of his family members mistakenly recycled it. He was returned the money within 48 hours of the plant finding it.
