Undisclosed number of layoffs expected after Ziff Davis buys Austin's Spiceworks

Spiceworks — an IT networking platform that had attracted funding from Goldman Sachs, Austin Ventures and others — is being acquired by the company behind well-known brands like Mashable and IGN. That will mean some job losses.
