“This was a breathtaking journey in history, from royalty to slavery, possibility, and advocacy” Kian Brown

New York City, Aug 26, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - Public Speaker, Youth Mentor, and former "Graduate" star Kian Brown took the trip of a lifetime. This Maroon Society co-founder and Achieve Brand fashion owner, Kian Brown, journeyed to Ghana and surrounding villages with six mentors ranging from 12-17 years of age; to show them a world where their possibilities were originated.

The trip had increased cultural significance because the trip took place in the year of the 400th anniversary of the first docking of African slaves to Jamestown, VA.

Mr Brown has been quoted in stating that," Walking in the same spaces my ancestors were shackled, abused, bathed, and shipped, was a wake-up call. I knew I was a leader before, but my urgency and clarity are on another level. I have found my true calling."

Stories like this rarely get the press coverage they deserve we would be delighted if we could be at the apex of vocalizing and exhibiting community impressions from the diaspora and back to Africa.
