California seeks death penalty in alleged torture killing of Anthony Avalos

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced Wednesday they are seeking the death penalty for a mother and her boyfriend accused of torturing 10-year-old Anthony Avalos for at least five days, ultimately causing his death in June 2018.
