Author aspires to motivate kids through her stories
Pittsburg, Sep 11, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - Better Than a Homerun by Freda Dehoff is a heartwarming story that aims to inculcate essential life values to young readers. As a teacher, the author intends to teach children beyond the walls of a classroom. This is Dehoff's way of reaching out to young people for them to learn further.
The book tells the story of young Daryl who was devastated after a heartbreaking experience. Before summer even started, he lost his best friend from a horrible vehicular incident. This traumatizing event sent the boy into a great depression. With the help of his family, he tried to deal with his grief by playing his favorite game and turning to arts. Just as he was slowly coping with his loss, an encounter that's about to happen will either give him inner peace or break him to pieces.
Freda's work will be exhibited at the Manila International Book Fair to be held at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Mall of Asia in Pasay City, Philippines, this coming Sept. 11-15, 2019 from 10am-8pm at the Authors Press booth no. 2-35.
