Former NFL Saints player, Steve Gleason wrote the foreword to the book, and 20 percent of proceeds from the event will benefit Team Gleason

The GIVE A DAMN launch partywill be at Rock 'N' Bowl in New Orleans on October 2, from 5-7:30 p.m. The event intends to raise money to bring Lewis' vision to Congress and to provide a substantial donation to Team Gleason.
The foreword to Lewis' book was written by former NFL Saints player, Steve Gleason. Lewis, who describes Gleason as "the embodiment of the give a damn attitude" will donate 20 percent of the proceeds from the sale of the book to Team Gleason. The remaining proceeds will fund Lewis' goal of providing each member of the U. S. Congress with a copy of his book.
The GIVE A DAMN book provides initiatives that each individual, employee, or CEO can implement to improve relationships, motivate others, and inspire positivity. "This book does not identify with a specific political party; everyone needs to give a damn! I am upset with the way so many people act and behave towards others, and it seems to get worse every day! Whatever happened to common sense? The GIVE A DAMN mindset can change the world for the better. It's the movement that I am starting, and it begins with you and me," says Lewis.
For Lewis, the GIVE A DAMN movement begins with having people take his American Accountability Pledge. Individuals can visit Lewis' website to take the pledge or to keep informed on his progress. Also, on Lewis' website is a Congressional Accountability Pledge that he would like every member of Congress to take. He has a huge initiative to make this happen and will review his plans at Rock & Bowl.
Lewis is seeking individual and corporate donations to help finance his goal of providing a copy of this book to every member of Congress. There are various levels of sponsorships available on this website to help him accomplish this goal. "Together, we can push society back in the right direction.
