The Story of a Christmas Tree...Told for the Very First Time

By: Issuewire

A heartwarming Christmas story told for the very first time.

Pittsburg, Oct 17, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - While traditional Christmas stories are hijacked by Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, the Polar Express, and of course, the Grinch, Rita Gilman Harper's take on one untold little Christmas story gives a refreshing take on the vast genre that will surely surprise and delight young readers. Rita's The Story of a Christmas Tree: Told for the Very First Time celebrates the one-of-a-kind story of a lovely old lady who makes a very special Christmas present for the neighborhood children. Delighted by this present, the children make copies of it and make one just like it for their own homes. This begins a heartwarming Christmas story in a league of its own.

Born in New York City, Rita is a retired nurse and physician. She received her nursing degree from the University of Michigan and her medical degree from New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry. She worked as a nurse at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, New York, before going to medical school. She is board certified in both pediatrics and perinatal medicine. She served as medical director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York, for twenty-seven years. Now widowed, she has three daughters and seven grandchildren.

Rita's work will be exhibited at the Ottawa Book Expo to be held at the Horticulture Building in Lansdowne Park, Ottawa, Ontario, on the 20th of October, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Authors Press booth number AZ01.
