New Book Probes Analysis on Recognized Human's Inevitable Polar Nature

Myth structure defines society’s evolution on human issues

Pittsburg, Nov 12, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - Author Batya Casper believes theater's sole and original purpose is to portray the human heart's deepest concerns, that which also allows the audience to reflect on how it is being dealt with when confronted by the society. This allowed Casper to examine theater itself through her book, Electra: A Gender Sensitive Study of the Plays Based on the Myth, which is an elaborate study of the different dramatic forms of the famous Greek legend, Electra. The book defines the deep structure of this famous myth and other plays with related structures. The author emphasizes that the usage of genders in the book such as feminine or masculine are only metaphor themes in reference to the human's contradictory nature. She wrote the second edition of this book to closely compare ancient ways and ancient Greek characters with ours in this modern society. She aims to arouse arguments on the different issues with genders and the influence of sexual behaviors on society.

The book's author, Batya Casper was born in Scotland and spent her early childhood years in England. But it was in Israel that she considers having lived her formative years. She also spent three years in South Africa where she taught the Hebrew language to children. Currently, she is a retired teacher and theater director. She is now settled in Los Angeles, California.

Batya's work will be exhibited at the Authors Press booth # 454 during the AASL 19th National Conference & Exhibition, to be held on the 14th to the 16th of November 2019 at the Kentucky International Convention Center, located at 221 S. 4th Street, Louisville, KY, 40202.
