Los Angeles, Feb 10, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - The Henry Armstrong Foundation, Inc., is a nonprofit 501 (3) c, organization that continues the legacy of boxing legend Henry Armstrong, announced this week that they are extremely honored to present their 3rd Annual Black History Month student essay competition named after the only undisputed World Triple Champion.

Essay Topic: Henry Jackson, Jr. AKA Henry Armstrong (aka Rev. Henry Armstrong)

In 300 words or less, please tell us about Boxing Legend Henry Armstrong from his achievements and contributions to the sport of boxing and humanity. For more information about Henry Armstrong, visit his official website at www.henryarmstrong.net or your local library to read his autobiography, Gloves, Glory and God.

Submission Guidelines: The essay contest begins on February 10th and ends March 16th and they are encouraging students to participate. The ("Essay") must be a minimum of 200 words no more than 300 words in length and must be in response to the following questions: Who is Henry Armstrong? What did Henry Armstrong accomplish in the sport of boxing and after boxing?   

Prizes: We're giving away, three Grand prizes:  First prize: $150.00 Second prize: $100.00 Third prize: $75.00

Eligibility: The Competition is open only to residents of the United States. Entries must be the original work of and written solely by the entrant. The Essay must be double-spaced, numbered and type-written.
