Despite the little girl having the choice of several New stuffed animals to play with, her connection with the disfigured Koala was clear. Although her friends laughed at her she saw the beauty of the koala through her hearts eyes.
Ms. Hudson designed 2 Koala Greeting Cards. One that was blind, and another that was Visually Impaired. Designed the card with human eyelashes, pronounced big black fury nose and raised glitter so the image could be discovered through the sensory touch and feel. With a Title in Braille entitled THROUGH LOVE I SEE, became the Companies slogan, and a Message inside from the Heart also in Braille and plain text.
After discovering the little blind girls name was Trixie, Ms. Hudson named her first Koala design TRIXIE. And her partial blind Koala male version BLINKY. The smile that came over Trixie's face when she connected the card was of a blind Koala, ( Like the stuffed animal she played with) and the name is given as hers. Trixie replied, now I have something that is like me.
With the millions of Trixie's and Blinky's in the United States, The Kubeba Koala Brand was born.
