Chase Freedom® Announces Timely Rotating Quarterly Categories for Q3 – Amazon.com and Whole Foods Market

Today, Chase Freedom announced new rotating quarterly categories for Q3 2020: Amazon.com and Whole Foods Market. This quarter’s categories offer broad earning potential for cardmembers and allow them to maximize their spending on timely and essential purchases. The quarterly categories allow cardmembers to earn 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in combined purchases in these categories from July 1 through September 30.

Chase Freedom is excited to introduce Amazon.com and a brand new category, Whole Foods Market, as the third quarter bonus categories. More than ever before, Freedom cardmembers are shopping online for every day needs and at the grocery store for their favorite foods.

“We understand that our cardmembers’ priorities have shifted over the past few months, so we’re excited to offer timely categories that provide value for customers during this difficult time,” said BJ Mahoney, General Manager of Chase Freedom. “This quarter’s categories provide a wide range of opportunities to earn cash back and maximize value through September – from home office supplies and activities for children to weekly groceries or a summer barbeque,” Mahoney added.

Chase Freedom cardmembers can earn 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in combined purchases on the following:

  • Amazon.com: Whether it’s a redecorating project, new kitchen appliances or everyday necessities, Chase Freedom cardmembers can earn cash back on their online Amazon.com purchases.
  • Whole Foods Market: Increased time at home has meant more cooking, baking, and grilling with your family - cardmembers can earn cash back at Whole Foods Market as you try new recipes and meals all summer.

In addition to the quarterly categories, Chase Freedom cardmembers can earn unlimited 1% cash back on all other purchases and have access to perks with DoorDash and Lyft. Cardmembers can activate and receive complimentary three months of DashPass, DoorDash’s subscription service that offers unlimited $0 delivery fees and reduced service fees on eligible orders of $12 or more, followed by half off the monthly subscription price for the next nine months. Additionally, Freedom cardmembers earn 5% cash back on Lyft purchases, including bikes and scooters, through March 2022.

New cardmembers can earn a $200 sign-up bonus after spending $500 on purchases in the first three months from account opening. The Freedom bonus offer is available at Chase.com or in branches. More information on the offer can be found here.
