Village Farms International Inc (TSX:VFF) is currently trading at C$8.02 above its 50 Days simple moving average of C$7.56 and the stock looks bullish. The company has executed it's a binding agreement to acquire a 6.6% interest in Australian based cannabinoid platform Altum International Pty Ltd. The deal is subject to closing conditions and will be finalized in the coming weeks. According to the terms of the agreement, Village Farms has the option of increasing its ownership in the company under current terms.
Recently the company's majority-owned JV, Pure Sunfarms announced that it had started shipping of branded and packaged dried cannabis flower to licensed retailers in Manitoba. The PureSunfarms products are currently available in 26 participating retailers in the province.
