"Zoom Me" brings twist to an old favorite - Parody Edition!

Orlando, Aug 11, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - The idea came to Imagineer and puppeteer extraordinaire, Suzie Vigon, creator of "Smells Like Puppets," at 3:00 am on a Saturday night in June.  The Zoom culture has certainly become the "go-to" platform for staying connected - alone/together - during COVID-19.  Not just for family gatherings, business meetings and online education, but for dating as well.

"Zoom Me" - a puppet parody based on Madonna's song "Hanky Panky" from the film Dick Tracy (1990) brings a twist to an old favorite, while poking fun at the new world of dating for singles everywhere. 

In her first video parody project,

Vigon premiers a new puppet character, Skylar Moon.  The sexy, pink lips singing goddess brings her seductive, smokey bar room humor to the Smells Like Puppets cast of crazy eclectic characters.  Co-starring in the video as Skylar's leading man is Nelson, a true "diamond in the rough" boasting his perfectly coiffed mohawk, too-cool-for-school punk rocker metal spiked necklace, and "can't keep your eyes off me" pierced nose, lip and tongue.  Nelson's never-ending desire to win the girl becomes the comic fodder in this short folly.

Vigon is an award-winning writer, producer, and director, and talented voiceover artist. Having laughed for years when repeatedly told that her own voice was sexy; Vigon lends her sultry sassiness behind Skylar's irresistible hot messiness.

Adhering to the idea of social distancing, the entire video was shot in Vigon's home studio. "No puppets or people were put at risk during the making of this video,"  joked Vigon.  

With so much fear and uncertainty facing the country and the world as a result of the coronavirus, humor and creativity have provided the "right medicine" during this unprecedented health crisis.

"So many talented and uniquely creative artists are finding ways to make their contribution in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis," said Vigon.  "Puppets are a wonderful platform to entertain adults providing laughter, smiles, and pure joy inside our hearts."
